I had the wonderful pleasure of spending an evening with the lovely Thai Marder. We had been talking about doing a shoot for a while so it was nice to get round to doing so.
I used my normal single light set up and a 90inch softbox. The Pentax 645d was used for all the shots. (90mm for the portrait images and the 55mm for the wider shots.
Using my trusty backdrop, we shot the first few images as standard Lingerie shots. Light to Photographers left with a large reflector on the photographers right. We just clipped the backdrop up over the curtain rail.
The trusty 3 Legged Thing Brian, was on hand to hold the camera still for the comp’d shots, and the TT5 Pocket Wizard’s synced things for me.
Creating the comped shots was pretty much straight forward of shooting a number of shots and being careful to think about placement of the models. I was quite inspired to try this sort of stuff out as I am huge fan of Mick Aukland’s work (link).
We shot a number of images and then just opened them up in Photoshop as a layer stack, added some layer masks then went to work removing all the bits of each shot I didn’t want or need. Colour added or taken away using Colour Lookup layers and Grad Maps.
Lingerie is from Fleur of England in the portrait images and Agent Provocateur the wide images
