A great chance to have a look and learn about the number of lighting types and styles. Set to a stunning location in the heart to Bristol.

So with all the new lights coming out these days, the choice of brand and style has never been more complex.  Increasing power of speedlights and increasing ISO noise reduction is also changing the face of lighting. On the 7th of Bristol Enlight Photo and I are hosting a little day to get out some gear and get some hands on time with the different types of lighting.  We will have open discussions about what we think of the lights and what is good for what ?

Shooting on the Fuji X-Pro is great for use with the Orbis or Ice Light, but In the studio setting with a D800 you might want some more punch that speedlights or LED just can not give you. Are you shooting High end Products at f22 or soft natural lighting at ISO800 f4.0 ?  In which case the TD6’s from Westcott could be perfect for your family studio needs and that little bit of video that is creeping in to your work.  Do you need Power outdoors ? How much power do you need ?

We can look at all the needs and have a look at the pros and cons about the different lighting set ups & shoot some kick ass photography with the ‘secret location’  !  Not hard to guess since we are meeting at Bristol Temple Meads Train Station though.

After the shoot – Mr James Madelin ( Inventor and cool guy – http://enlightphotopro.com/our-gear/ ) and I will be hanging out at the Enlight Photo Pro Studio for beers and coffee. Kicking back and talking photo, cameras and stuff.

My friends at Sigma will be letting me borrow a few lenses so you can have a play to test out a few of the new lenses,, I have first pick though.. the 35mm 1.4 is just amazing !!   We can have both Canon & Nikon stuff for people to play with.  I will also have the X-Pro and the new lenses to play with if you are an X-Series fan.   Either way.. Come and hang out, have some fun,  and lets shoot some great images.

We will be meeting around 10:00 am on a location confirmed to you via E-mail. A mix of shooting and discussions and demos will be the order of the day. then wrapping up with a beer and chill out. The day will cost 165 pounds and the evening is free for all to join, so even if you don’t come to the event in the day, do join us in the evening. But be sure to mail us for the address !!  We can talk post pro, gear, models, anything goes !!
