A few week agos Jodi Lakin (MUA) and I got to shoot with the very lovely Beffy Gilmore. We had been in touch for months and months so it was lovely to be able to get a shoot sorted at last.

After some what of a chaos led morning, we got shooting in the second function room at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath. Not the location we had planned and had to shoot far quicker than planned too as the room was in use for band later than day. We also pretty much shot nothing I had planned but was very happy with the images we got.

Our lighting setup was.. unplanned to say the least as I turned up with half my softbox and to add to my woes, the natural light was dull to say the least. Stephie saved the day coming down with a speedlight and a bracket to mean that I could use my monoblock as a main light albeit with no modifier at all thus bare bulb. Turned out that mixing the very harsh light and the speedlight mixed with the Roundflash pop up dish gave some interesting lighting effects.
