There are no two people alike. Over the years I have traveled and met some amazingly interesting people of many different nationality and different faiths, beliefs and customs. For me portrait photography is a few things, not only to document and record what is in front of me but to open up more but a chance to tackle stereotypes and preconceptions about different things we might not know enough about. One of the things I most love about photography is the slight removal of a person in an environment that the camera gives you. It was a good chance to learn what an MC is really about first hand to make my own judgements.
After the shoot it was very interesting to sit and chat with a few of the guys about other ways of living, what an MC really is and about the stereotypes that the media and things like Sons Of Anarchy portray.
During a weekend in North Wales I was invited to talk at a Photography event and take some photographs & portraits of Dink aka Stuart Dawson of the North Wales Outlaw Chapter.
Thank you to all the people we met & Dink for his time and very kind hospitality not to mention the beer!

We shot some portraits in the studio after shooting some more character based portraits in the Cowlyn Bay Club house.
Below are images of Dink showing his Tattoos.

In the Studio – we used a simple setup using a single Bowens head and small softbox with some customized set up diffusion panels.
The shots below were created in the morning of the studio shoot. The day before Dink invited us over and we scouted out some locations, we picked out some shots and arranged to meet in the morning. We shoot in the Club House for about 25 mins before heading over to the studio.
We used the Profoto B1 light on location, assisted by Matthew Maddock
